It's nice to read of a man's spiritual experience of kissing. I've only had one partner that i'm pretty sure felt the same way, though none of them have ever articulated their feelings openly on this subject. P.s. like the music to go with the thoughts :)
Thank you for your writing although it made me realize I haven’t kissed someone and felt that in a while… and it would great to do a meet up in Barcelona!! Let me know if you need any recommendation 😊😊
I believe it wasn’t your intention, but generalizing Brazilian women as people who 'do not kiss gently' came across as a bit prejudicial. I’m Brazilian, and while I haven’t kissed an extraordinary number of women, I’ve kissed enough to know there are all kinds of kissers in Brazil. I hope you can understand my perspective. I realize you probably included this as a lighthearted example, but it didn’t come across well. I usually enjoy your posts, but I felt the need to point this out. Keep up the good work :)
I interpreted not as a literal statement, but I think that the subtext filters the scope in "brazilians I have kissed". Of course he cannot talk about all brazilian women (...I think, maybe he is a "well traveled" man though 😂)
I agree, and I firmly believe that Nathaniel didn’t intend to say anything harmful. However, there are enough stereotypical reasons why Brazil and its people are often used in this kind of context, so it should have been said more carefully. While it clearly wasn’t meant as a literal statement, it still reflects some bias and highlights something about the collective consciousness.
Oh ok, I was not aware of this kind of bad stereotypes!
Were I am from the stereotypes about Brazil are usually good, like: that women are really good looking (their back especially 😂), that Brazilians are good football players, dancers and nice and joyful people in general that like to celebrate.
The only bad one that I can think of is referred to the cities and not to the people (like that cities are considered a bit unsafe).
One day I will visit Brazil and see for myself, and I think I will not be disappointed from the place, it seems amazing! 😄
Love this. Reminds me of a cheesy little romance movie I watched years ago called now and forever. There’s a scene when the native boy is flirting with the girl and they are talking about kissing. And he says something alone the lines of (I’m paraphrasing) that the natives believe when you kiss that you are choosing to share breath and a your soul…. I wish I could remember the quote. It was such a beautiful sentiment, I’m gonna I guess watch that movie and jot it down lol
This is beyond beautiful, I loved that you put the audio of you reading it & I'm so grateful you did. I find it a bit hard to read these day because I read a lot for my career.
P.S. You have always felt like a friend I never met and you've truly been such a big part of my self growth & self love journey. Thank you for being you.
U don't think we're necessarily more spirit than human. I don't know what that would mean. But I did enjoy reading this post. I don't often see such romantic takes. And weirdly especially not on the act of kissing itself
Such a nice and sweet reflection. By the way, thank you for the music tip, I did not know this artist and I am liking her! (so I am going to listen more)

In the spirit of kissing , i wrote this about a kiss i wish i had :
Lately,
you kiss has been at the core of my forbidden thoughts
whenever your lips strike my mind
My body rhymes to a very distinct beat
All sound disappears
Time stops and waits
Profoundly my heart beats
Only a lifetime can measure the distance between a heart beat and another
Your eyes then follow
In the warmth of their honey brown
In the distinct melancholy they carry I drown
In my head,
whenever i have your lips
Your eyes finally smile
Your soul is light again
so is mine
Gravity disappears
We are both nothing but the distinct connection of two lips
the world starts and ends when they meet
and when they part
everything fades into nothing again.
This is so originally and beautifully expressed 🥰
To kiss a women feels good….
My friend! I am from Barcelona. I'd like to meet you!
So sweet and refreshing to read about a man collapsing, accessing and enjoying the vulnerability of this dimension, kissing!

This is beautiful, Nathaniel :)
The heartbeat before kissing... that's the real wonder for me.
Thank you!

Such a refreshing reminder of how each musing distinctly affirms inspiration🙏

Beautifully written man. Nothing like this feeling you elegantly described!
